The Movie Projects are the culmination of each chapter’s study. Learning about communication theory requires application and discussion. In order to accomplish this goal, you will read the text that explains the theories, complete exercises that demonstrate the theories and search for examples of the theories in the relationships of characters in assigned films. You are required to complete 2 movie projects during the course. The following steps apply to the 2 projects you complete: 1. Select the chapter and movie option you want to analyze. 2. View the assigned film. 3. Complete the written analysis of the film. Your analysis should highlight at least four concepts from the chapter and an explanation how they are exemplified in the movie. This should not be a review of the entire movie. 4. Submit your completed analysis to the appropriate chapter submission box. The 1st Movie Project must be based on Chapters 1-6 and is due with Topic 4. Here is an Example of a Movie Project. (This will be attached) NOTE: To earn complete credit for each Movie Project, you will need to be very thorough. Each written analysis should be at least 800 words long. Each project is worth 100 points. Here is the grading rubric used to evaluate your projects. Here are the Movie Options for each Chapter: Chapter 1: Black Panther or Get Out Chapter 2: Crazy Rich Asians or Zootopia Chapter 3: Wreck-It Ralph or Unbroken Chapter 4: The Matrix or Fences Chapter 5: The Wolf of Wall Street or Arrival Chapter 6: A Quiet Place or Lars and the Real Girl Feel free to choose any movie you would like.
