The journal shows the social-cognitive concept of personality assessment. This journal was written to express the implications of social cognitive theories for the subject of what constitutes the appraisal of personality construction and behavioral dispositions. This concept consists of 5 social-cognitive principles of judgment. Personality judgments should distinguish the work of evaluating inner personal structures and dynamics from the of assessing of behavioral dispositions; studying of personality systems that function as personal determinants of action; present methods of individual mental and physical systems as conceptually different, use assessments that are responsive to the specific qualities of the person, and assess persons in context. These principles are illustrated through the overview of this article.

The values, beliefs, and goals that define the behaviors one engages in are produced through cognitive processes specific to each person as the consequence of the interaction between past education and the aforementioned factors. When considered collectively, the framework of human biology and Cognitive Behaviorgive the account for the perspective of human behavior. The overall understanding that I perceived from this journal is that of cognitive thinking influences the behavior of an individual and when placed with staged settings or situations, actions can be influenced and predicted. Per the author of this journal, models were formulated to obtain data yet were not necessarily accurate but could be used in future research.

Stoicism, the philosophical education popular in Greek and Roman times, has begun to be revived recently. Its effect can be seen in cognitive behavioral therapy and at Viktor Frankl’s logotherapy, which emphasizes finding significance in time in all places. Currently in modern day many books, websites, and educators have taken the teachings of Stoicism to the common people. This journal digs into the possible views of Stoicism and how they relate to communication of circumstances and modern day. This journal also discussed some of the most interesting aspects of stoicism and how it is used. It will also show comparisons through the eyes of history on the building and founding of the philosophical foundations and cognitive therapy. The concepts of Stoicism are also included with those of Epictetus, Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, and Chrysippus.Also the theorists whom are considered the leading cognitive therapists Beck and Elliswere compared. The beginning of certain basic theories of cognitive therapy have been elaborated upon in many psychological theories in the past, especially Stoicism. An example of the ideological origins of cognitive therapy may be traced back to these Stoic philosophers according to Beck’s original treatment manual.(Robertson, D, 2010) As cognitive therapy continued to develop in popularity, the institution of cognitive therapy was made to recognize cognitive therapists, make the meeting therapists to share emerging research and interventions. This aided in the teaching of cognitive therapy and related psychological health issues. Therapy now may consist of researching the assumptions one gets and searching for new information that might help change these assumptions in a sense that leads to other emotional or behavioral responses. Ancient origins brought about change of targets with new ideas to alter emotion and behavior and to alter perceptions and ideas. The concept of Stoicism may also change a person’s goals by identifying ideas, feelings or behavior that conflict with the goals. Within this journal, these concepts were elaborated upon and explored primarily through better understanding of Aaron T. Beck who was a psychiatrist,who believed that the thoughts of negativity lead to one being depressed, which ultimately caused poor behavior. Humanist psychology appeared in the mid-20th century in which Sigmund Freud’s psychotherapy theory and B. F. Skinner’s behaviorism were prominent during this era. Abstract: This journal gives an analysis of the history of cognitive psychology including details of historical contributions, concerns and based on psychology history. This debate coordinators the aspects of cognitive analysis which displays classes of interpretive methods that encourage practitioners to make diagnostic decisions and/or treatment recommendations. The purpose of this journal was to examine the effectiveness of cognitive profile analysis in treating depression. (Jones, C et al., 2012)

Cognitive therapy comes from a different angle than that of behavior therapy. Cognitive therapy focuses mainly on the ideas and emotions that lead to specific behaviors, while behavioral therapy deals with modifying and eliminating those undesirable behaviors. However, some therapists learn the form of therapy that focuses on both ideas and behavior. This kind of intervention is named cognitive-behavior therapy. Cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT) helps change the person’s moods, emotion and behavior by studying stupid or distorted patterns of thought. CBT therapists teach kids that thoughts have feelings and moods which may affect behavior. Within CBT, the person learns to recognize harmful thought patterns. The therapist then helps the person replace the thought with ideas that result in more appropriate beliefs and behaviors. This journal investigates the historical development and concerns of these psychological procedures.
