You have read the Jones and Mehr (2007) article, Foundations and Assumptions of the Scientist Practitioner Model, and participated in group class discussion on this topic. You are prepared to write your Reflection Paper.
Description
A reflection paper is an opportunity for you share your personal thoughts, opinions and insights on what you have read. The purpose of this paper is for you to demonstrate that you understand the components of the Scienctist-Practitioner model and have some ideas about how it may guide your future practice in the field of behaviour analysis.
Assignment Components
This paper should be double spaced and a a minimum of 2.5 pages (750 words). The reflection paper should provide
1) A description of the Scientist Practitioner Model (in your own words)
2) Insight into how you see this information as being useful in your future practice (i.e. field placement/future practice).
What activities might you carry out that would demonstrate science in practice?
What component(s) of the model are you drawn to? What might be more challenging?
A reflection paper should be written in first person, and can be “less formal” than a traditional academic paper.
